Eleanor and Quinn - Rest in Peace
It's all over.
Eleanor Peck Hamilton passed into glory at 2:15pm this afternoon. Alexis was holding her in our living room when she slipped away.
Rowan Quinn Hamilton followed her sister at 3:40pm - after having a couple of small seizures. She was tenacious until the end, when she died in her crib - her mom and dad holding her hands.
Goodbye sweethearts.....heaven is your playground.

Our hearts swell with love, ache with emotion, and grow in your example of faith. Your parental love glows in the glory of the Father, whose arms now hold your little angels. What a blessing they could go up together, under your watchful compassion.

All five of you, and your families, have been in our hearts and prayers these many days. Just as the days are filled with opposites—sunshine and clouds, dawn and dusk, calm and storm—so, too, was Quinn's and Eleanor's short time with you. Now they have joined the stars in the firmament of God's Heaven.

We have never met (we are friends of a friend of yours), but please know that there is an entire community of strangers, crossing several continents, thinking of you and your family tonight. Our hearts ache for your loss, while simultaneously reveling in the beauty of the moments you did get to share with your daughters - if all too brief. Your joy, your grief, your amazing strength - though their lives were short, your girls were surrounded with such incredible, unconditional love. You gave them both such a beautiful gift: A life filled with warmth. Every moment they knew was filled with your love.

Greg - I don't know if you remember us, but Tucker & I know you from McKenzie Study Center in Eugene. Brian Baskett told us about what was going on with you and we have been reading the blog. Because we just lost our second daughter this January [she was 29 days old], our hearts have been especially grieved by your struggles and we have been praying for you and your family. We know because of our process a little of what your process looks like. Please know that we are so sorry that your beautiful girls had to go but that we are also glad to know that you loved them so much for every moment that they were with you. God is faithful and will bring you through this. Although I am sorry for their passing, I am grateful to know that your twins will be up in heaven with our dear daughter Coco Madalena. We have another girl, Lily who is 5, and I imagine that like her, Greer will be a great comfort to you both in this time. Again, thanks for your beautiful honesty and words.
