Back at Work
So...I'm back at work now.
Just before Thanksgiving, I started a contract as a Project Coordinator with a downtown healthcare firm. It pays well and is just in time for us. Things were starting to get thin for a bit, so it's good to be back on the job - even if it isn't a permanent gig. I worked my first Saturday in a while....some nice overtime work - and and more experience with project problem solving.
Aside from all my new daytime work changing things up - things are going pretty well.
Greer is back in daycare full time - and is becoming quite a puzzle master. Last weekend, he worked on a 100 piece puzzle with me - and did a great job matching patterns and shapes. He really enjoys singing his ABC's and playing with object/number flashcards. He's also a bit more of a handful and is actively voicing his independence. Potty-training is happening - and he's starting to dress himself. Becoming a boy, I guess. It's fun to watch.
Think alot about Papa, Eleanor and Quinn. I dream of Papa about once a week since his passing - and usually wake up crying. It's part of the process, I guess. The girls are always there in my mind.
Had a good Thanksgiving in Olympia. Spent most of the four-day weekend at the indoors - with an occasional outing. Saw the new James Bond with my father-in-law, played a fair amount of Yahtzee with the family, and ate way too much food.
Additionally, Greer and I have been showing up in a Comcast commercial that's been airing for the past month. It's fun and short - and I've only seen it once. Such are the perils of not watching much network/cable television. Some of my friends think I'm being a little sarcastic when I pop the line "They're making the Internet fun again". Hmm...wonder what could give them that idea.
Need to get some sleep now.
